Volunteers

If you aren't aware already, as a reminder we are a 100% volunteer park. From the Board of Directors, Commissioners, Coaches and Team Parents, all of these roles are filled with volunteers to help run the sports leagues. This is one of the best parts I believe of Tiger Point as it creates an environment and culture where everyone is involved with their kids and other families who you do life within our community. We are still in need of volunteers to coach many divisions so if you haven't signed up please consider doing so. If you're concerned about knowing anything about soccer or coaching, we can get your help with partnering you with a more experienced coach/volunteer. Ideally, each team will have one coach and an assistant coach to share the burden of practices and games so that one person isn't doing everything. Each team will also have a Team Parent which will help with the logistics of the schedule and team so that the coaches can focus on field activities.

VERY IMPORTANT: For those who have enrolled as a volunteer and have not filled out a background
check form in the last year, you can find that form at the following link:

One last note regarding volunteering. Since we are not paid professionals, in all likelihood we are not training your kids to make the national or Olympic teams:) I hope with that understanding we all work together to foster a positive and fun environment for our kiddos. Our volunteers do a great job coaching and managing their teams each season, so I expect the spring to be the same. Should you have any issues with any team or coach, please reserve those discussions away from the field of play and from the kids. I am available to discuss any matter or issue that may arise during the season. Rest assured in my years here at Tiger Point, it's been a very positive experience and believe it's due to our awesome families who take part in activities here. So please consider stepping up to volunteer as we cannot form teams and start practices unless we have a coach for each team.
